Maya is by Rivendell Wangu (SAW), out of Miss Undercover (imp.Trak)

Wangu’s sire is a pure thoroughbred stallion standing only for throroughbred horses in South Africa.  Whistling Wood is by the legendary Fort Wood who has many progeny competing at all levels in show-jumping in South Africa after their racing careers.  On an international level, Sadler’s Wells is highly desirable for show jumping horses and increasingly so, which has resulted in much international interest in Wangu’s breeding and pedigree.

Wangu’s damline has the legendary Pik Bube in its pedigree who was a dressage legend in his time under Herbert Rehbein.  They won 11 out of 12 advanced classes in their only competition season in 1980. Pik Bube’s sire, Pik König is considered the most important son of the famous Thoroughbred sire of showjumpers, Pik As xx. Pik König sired 19 Approved sons and 22 State Premium mares. His offspring - such as Pirol 37 - were mainly successful in showjumping. With a dressage index of 126, and a jumping index of 131, Pik König had an overall rating of 129. His sire, Pik As xx stood at the State Stud Celle from 1953-69, where he sired four approved sons.  Pik Bube was a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming successes. He's also well known as the sire of many licensed and proven young stallions, and it is through him that the grandiose thoroughbred blood of Pik As XX exerts much of its influence. Rivendell Wangu is currently jumping 1.30m.

Maya's dam, Miss Undercover is an imported trakehner from Germany. Since being in RSA, Miss Undercover has produced two fillies and one colt, all exceptional in conformation and temperament.

Miss Undercover's sire Maserati, a bay Trakehner stallion by Partout x stands at stud in Denmark. Maserati competed in Germany at M-level under Nicole Melzel. His sire Partout, by Arogno out of Pedola by Donauwind, is a bay, approved elite stallion who was bought by the gold medal winner of the Sydney Olympics, Anky van Grunsven, right after his approval as a 2year old.

He did his performance test in Adelheidsdorf with 151.25 points, coming out as the most rideable stallion. Partout won several big international Grand Prixs (over 25 times), was a World Cup winner and came back in the spring of 2002 after a year's break due to an injury.

He was retired from his show career at the Neumünster stallion show in 2002. Partout has also been tremendously successful as a breeding stallion. Several sons have been approved so far: Goodwood, Seeräuber, Pour Plaisir, Parlando, premium stallion Halbgott, vizechampion Maserati and the 1998 champion stallion Monteverdi, who finished 8th at the FEI Young Horse World Championships in 2002.

Damsire Itaxerxes was awarded Elite status 1995 and was champion at his grading and his 100 Day Performance Test.

He won many showjumping competitions including 13 in one year and competed successfully at Advanced Dressage.

He sired Bardolino the 1994 Showjumping Champion at the National Championships at Cologne.
